Policy

This policy explains what personal data Pride Pass collects through our website and waitlist, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

Last updated: 28 October 2026

The short version

01

Just the basics

We collect your name, email and waitlist details like referrals and points. Analytics only run if you say yes.

02

Your choice, always

You can unsubscribe from our emails or change your cookie settings whenever you like.

03

Never sold

We never sell your data. We only share it with the services that help us run Pride Pass.

1. Who we are

Pride Pass UK Ltd (“Pride Pass”, “we”, “us”) is responsible for your personal data. That makes us the “controller” under UK data protection law.

  • Registered in England and Wales, company number 17508391

  • Registered office: 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX

  • Email: hello@pridepass.co.uk

  • Registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)

Pride Pass is a membership app for finding LGBTQ+ friendly restaurants, bars, clubs, wellness spots and shops. It’s open to everyone, LGBTQ+ people and allies alike. The app hasn’t launched yet, so for now this policy covers our website and waitlist.

Our website and waitlist are for people aged 18 and over.

2. What we collect

When you join the waitlist:

  • your first name, last name and email address

  • whether you’ve agreed to marketing emails

  • which sign-up form you used, and any campaign tags in the link you arrived from (for example, an Instagram post)

  • your referral code, who referred you (if anyone), your points and your position

  • your IP address, rough location (country and city) and device details, which help us spot fake sign-ups

  • whether our emails reach you and whether you open or click them

When you visit our website:

  • if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects how you use the site, such as pages viewed and device type

  • your IP address reaches Google when our website fonts load

When you email us, we get whatever you choose to send.

We don’t ask about your sexuality, gender identity or anything similar. We don’t assume anything about you because you’ve joined.

3. How we use it

Each use has a lawful basis under UK GDPR:

  • Running your waitlist place: confirming your email, sending your welcome email, tracking referrals and points, showing the leaderboard, choosing founding members and telling you about launch. Basis: contract (our Founding member terms).

  • Marketing emails about new venues, offers and Pride Pass news, but only if you tick the box when you sign up. Basis: your consent. You can withdraw it anytime using the unsubscribe link.

  • Understanding how people use our site, through Google Analytics. Basis: your consent, given through our cookie banner.

  • Seeing which campaigns bring people in, and whether our emails arrive and get read. Basis: our legitimate interest in growing Pride Pass sensibly.

  • Stopping fake sign-ups, bots and cheating. Basis: legitimate interests.

  • Replying to your emails. Basis: legitimate interests.

  • Meeting legal duties, such as keeping records. Basis: legal obligation.

4. Who we share it with

We only share your data with services that help us run Pride Pass, and only what they need:

  • Waitlister (Lemon Tree Ventures, LLC) runs our waitlist, leaderboard, referral programme and sign-up emails. It uses its own trusted suppliers, including Google Cloud for storage, Resend to send emails, Cloudflare for bot checks and IPinfo to work out rough location.

  • Framer hosts our website. Its own visitor counts don’t use cookies or personal data.

  • Google provides our email (Google Workspace), our website fonts and, only if you accept, Google Analytics.

Other people on the waitlist can see the leaderboard. It shows points next to a partly hidden version of your email address, never your name.

We may also share data with our professional advisers, with authorities when the law requires it, or with a buyer or investor if Pride Pass is ever sold or restructured. Your data would stay protected by this policy.

We never sell your personal data.

5. Data outside the UK

Your waitlist data is stored in the United States. Waitlister and its suppliers are US companies, and Google and Framer may also process data outside the UK.

UK law allows this as long as your data stays properly protected. Waitlister’s transfers are covered by the ICO’s UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Our other providers use either these clauses or the UK–US Data Bridge.

Email us if you’d like more detail about these safeguards.

6. Cookies

We only use non-essential cookies if you say yes.

  • Your cookie choice: our banner saves your choice in your browser’s local storage (framerCookiesConsentMode and framerCookiesDismissed). This is strictly necessary, so it doesn’t need your consent.

  • Google Analytics: this only loads if you click Accept. It sets the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies, which last up to 2 years and help us understand how the site is used. We don’t use Google Signals or any advertising features.

You can change your mind anytime through “Cookie settings” in the footer. If you reject analytics, we switch Google Analytics off and delete its cookies.

7. How long we keep it

  • Waitlist details: we keep these through launch. If you join the app, the app’s privacy policy takes over. If you haven’t become a member 12 months after launch, we delete your details.

  • Founding members: we keep what we need for as long as your founding membership lasts.

  • Unconfirmed sign-ups: deleted after 30 days if you never confirm your email.

  • Unsubscribes: we keep just your email address on a “do not contact” list, so we don’t email you by mistake.

  • Google Analytics data: deleted after 14 months.

  • Emails to us: kept for up to 2 years, unless we need them longer to sort out an issue.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • get a copy of your data

  • correct anything that’s wrong

  • ask us to delete it

  • ask us to limit how we use it

  • object to how we use it, including stopping marketing at any time

  • get your data in a format you can take elsewhere

  • withdraw your consent whenever you like (this doesn’t affect anything we did before)

Email hello@pridepass.co.uk to use any of these rights. It’s free, and we’ll reply within one month. We may need to check it’s really you first.

If you delete your waitlist data, you’ll also lose your points and your place in the founding member rankings.

9. Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first at hello@pridepass.co.uk and we’ll try to put it right.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator:

  • Website: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint

  • Phone: 0303 123 1113

10. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy as Pride Pass grows, especially when the app launches. The date at the top shows when it last changed. We’ll email you about any significant changes.

In future, the app may ask optional questions about things like sexuality or gender identity. If it does, answering will always be your choice. We’ll ask for your explicit consent first and update this policy before we start.

Questions about your data?

Email us at hello@pridepass.co.uk and we’ll get back to you.
